Fraternities at Indiana University

Hi, I will be attending Indiana University this Fall and am seriously considering joining a fraternity. I am an out of state student receiving a decent sized scholarship and a direct admission offer into the Kelley School of Business. I come from a very diverse and competitive public highschool, so not much partying is done around my town.

I understand IU is a huge party school, and believe me I have nothing against this. I know the greek community can be very competitive, rowdy, selective, and is often hard to receive a bid. I would however like to join a fraternity if I am able to get a bid from one of them. I would be more interested in joining a fraternity that isnt as wild and crazy, but more chill, fun, and respectful. Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love to party, but at the same time, I am able to have fun without getting drunk, and take schoolwork fairly seriously. I am a nice and considerate kid, and I would like to avoid the complete jackasses, tools, and dumbasses that can sometimes be associated with greek life. Are there any fraternities that are like this? If so, would they be any less social than some of the crazier ones? I've heard about the business fraternity and I believe there is one that is dry... (I'm blanking on the name)... I'm not sure about joining one of these, because I want to have fun and still be able to drink and live amongst the brothers, so is there any median? Can someone tell me about the greek system at IU, specifically how rush works?

Lastly, I am not trying to bash the greek system at IU in any way. I've heard plenty of rumors about it, and am trying to be openminded. I just want to give you an idea of how I am going about viewing this
