Fraternities at Pitt

Can anyone tell me about the frats at Pitt? I'm an incoming sophomore transfer and definitely want to join a fraternity. I know there are some university owned houses on Sutherland, but can anyone elaborate? I haven't been able to find much at all on Pitt's website. Thanks!

overall, greek life at pitt is strong. for the 10 - 12 % of all males in frats, they hold 60%+ of leadership roles in the campus.

it is up to you to find a good one, go to rush events and see which frat fits.

Those are some nice stats, but I was looking more for some ideas/stereotypes about the frats themselves and possibly even where the houses are located on/around campus.

read juicy campus.

pi kappa alpha is full of meat heads

SAE sucks and is a creeper frat.

Delta Tau Delta - Dirty Delts

Kappa Sigma - Dirty, fat slobs

Tau Epsilon Phi - Nice guys, but parties are open - a lot of freshman

ZBT - not involved, kind of bland. ONly have 1 pledge this semester.

Lol. Every frat is victim of their own stigma. There's some truth in them, but for the most part they describe a small percentage of the fraternity.

Check out all of them though. Rush is like 2 weeks long, so you could conceivably go to almost every frat's events if necessary.
