<p>Not nearly as intense as big state schools. Miami has a super strict no hazing policy.</p>
<p>Depending on the specific frat you join there will be a bit of hazing (behind adminstration’s back of course) but miamicane’s right it’s not nearly as intense as state schools.</p>

<p>No hazing of any kind at my sons frat. (My son complained to me when he pledged that they didn’t even make him do any pushups…). He has had a great frat experience and made so many close friends. I highly recommend it. (Great social events on campus, community service and intramural fraternity sports all year!)</p>
<p>I believe RUSH is only second semester. YOu can’t RUSH as a new freshman.</p>
<p>My S’s experience mirrored that of crazed S’s, very positive.</p>
