Fraternities

Are there any fraternities that fit this description or close to it at Clemson?:

Huge focus on sports - attending sporting events, playing different sports, etc.
More of a relaxed feel.
Not focused on partying but has parties on the weekends or a few during the week.
Not a major dress code. I'm not interested in wearing a suit all of college.

I think you get the idea - I'm not really looking for your typical frat.

Thanks for any help!

you can find more information about the fraternities at Clemson here: [Clemson IFC - Fraternities](http://clemsonifc.theginsystem.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=31)

That sounds like a pretty typical southern frat to me. Once you’re finished pledging, you can dress basically how you want (but there are a few no-no’s, of course). You can party as much or as little as you want - fraternities obviously allow you to study because they like to maintain a high average GPA. As far as athletics, any frat is gonna be focused on gameday, and all of them that I’ve heard of compete in intramurals.

My brother is in a top-tier fraternity at University of Tennessee and your description pretty much matches his experience.

My roommate’s fraternity has no strict dress code after pledging and they have an intramural flag football team for the fall. I’ve attended 30 non-football/basketball Clemson athletic events this semester and I’ve never seen any fraternity members there so I wouldn’t they say attend a lot of sporting events outside of football/basketball. Tailgating for students revolves around the fraternity/sorority quad for football games since the police don’t dare to go there haha
