^Triangle isn’t a greek letter and it’s spelled America but otherwise…

Going Greek is the best decision I made of my life.

AEPI until the day I die

The GDIs is this thread are a disgrace to GDIs. Go greek. You will regret not doing it your entire college career. I’m in a large frat at a big 10 party school. The movie Animal House comes pretty close to depicting my life there. I’m also a mechanical engineer with a 3.7. There are no excuses to not be able to do well in school while also having fun. You’re only in college for 4 years(hopefully) - live it up. No one remembers the night they got enough sleep.

And HarryJones - stay out of this discussion until you have something to contribute other than adverse opinions of something you clearly have no experience with.

It’s like parenthood in the sense of needing to experience it to understand. Hazing is gone from my frat’s national organization and is absolutely no longer tolerated; houses are closed if they mess up and have to wait four years to reopen (it happened to mine some years ago). I’m glad hazing is gone, but it did have its bonding side effects we can never forget. And, yes, my best friend is my frat bro from over 40 years ago; when you’re forced to spend large amounts of time together it just happens. I think this might be the number one significant practical feature of frats, the large amounts of time spent with one group. Not that it’s good or bad, just that it is.

Thankfully, for some people, being Greek isn’t the only means of enjoying college life.
