Frats at Penn

Hey, I'm a sophomore transfer and am looking to rush this coming fall because a few frats have told me that that's the ideal time for a sophomore to rush. What are the best frats to join for the fall semester for someone who isn't rich at all but just wants to meet people and party? ( I have read the previous frat threads but a lot of them are outdated) Also, does anyone know anything about Alpha Chi Rho/AXP at Penn cause the guys there seemed pretty cool but others have said they are lame and don't really throw parties.

As I remember, all frats rush after winter break not in fall semester.

as a sophomore transfer, you may rush during the fall (and that’s why you got that advice)

new freshmen rush in the spring, not in the fall

do you guys know the frats that do a fall rush?

there really is no fall rush. the only gruops that do fall rush are the business frats.

if you want to join a fraternity that you’ll enjoy, spring rush is what you’re looking for. in the fall there’s unofficial dirty rush–so def go check out the fraternities, but don’t expect to be doing official rushing until the spring. you also won’t be the only sophomore doing it–there are plenty (atheletes, transfers, etc.) who end up rushing as sophomores. obv not as many as freshmen, but it happens
