<p>toughest to get into --</p>
<p>beta theta pi -- rich kids, materialistic.
sigma chi -- only a few big parties, but the ones they do have are the best on campus. im independent and i think this is best frat on campus</p>
<p>there are also very southern frats:
kappa alpha order
phi delta theta (suspension)
and even SAE is kinda southern</p>
<p>all of those are preppy</p>
<p>Sigma Nu -- they got kicked offcampus, but they are very respected and get hot girls at their offcampus house. </p>
<p>DKE -- is the best frat for booze and they know how to party. i wish some houses would take notes from these guys. the girl there tho are kinda slutty and alot of the brothers play rugby/weightlifter, etc..</p>
<p>Pike -- a diluted Beta, respected although i dont really like them, i rarely have an amazin nite here</p>
<p>All of those frats are very respected and ATO and Phi Psi are also have pretty good brothers. Although Phi Psi doesn't have that enough big parties.</p>
<p>The frats listed above are what i would call really good and pretty much in the order listed.</p>
<p>the rest arent as good but have their own personalities.</p>
<p>AePi is nationally jewish but they do alrite here. they can pull some girls.
i think ZBT is the better national jewish frat. they arent jewish here but they have very favorable guy/girl ratios at parties but the girls are a bit less atractive but still not too bad.</p>
<p>kappa sig-- kinda of a stoner frat. not many women</p>
<p>phi kap -- try to be a sorta west coast/punkish frat but arent really that popular.</p>
<p>lambda -- might have some down-to-earth kids. but not a popular frat.</p>

<p>Can anyone else give some perspective into the frats at Vanderbilt? I know I definitely want to be in one of the more preppy ones, but I don't want one that would act stuck-up to their own members (don't know if there are any like that). So can anyone give an explain into each of the "preppy" frats and the kind of members and general feel of the frat?</p>
<p>Reading this thread makes me glad my son did not have any desire to go to Vanderbilt or any college with a big greek scene.</p>
<p>Since rush isn't until the spring semester, you will have plenty of time to go to the different frat parties and form your own opinions.</p>

<p>There have been some previous posts about the frats at vandy, but they are kind of old. Can someone inform me of the status of different frats at Vandy (What the guys are like, parties, etc) Throughout the old posts, there have been different opinions on different frats and what they are like. I know frats change since the members there change, so I kind of wanted an update on who is well known, has good parties, and aren’t deusch bags. any suggestions?</p>

phi psi (mostly cool guys, ok parties)

<p>Reading Pike in your first tier gave me a migraine, seeing half of the other names at all is really hurting.</p>
<p>I think I’ve ranked vandy greek life before, but here’s a quick one:</p>
<p>1) SAE
2) KA (with '09 gone, has become the northern school boarders and jewish frat (as in the guys that are cool, not aepi/zbt material)
3) DKE/Sigma Chi (easily debatle. similar to day theta/night theta).
4) Beta (they’re willing to do whatever it takes to stay at the top, champs; KA with a twist)
23) Pike (i don’t think you know what a guido is starry. these guys are annoying however, knocking stereos over regularly is pretty pathetic)
24) Phi Psi (venturing into cut list territory, lots of guys that slipped through the cracks for some reason)
25) AEPi/ZBT (guidos, zbt is “eclectic”)
26) BYX (sunday school)

<p>If frats were to be ranked solely by the attractiveness of their female enthusiasts, this list would have practically nailed it. Beta may be third, above Sig Chi (definitely above DKE). Other than that, very solid work.</p>
