<p>I haven't heard too much about frats/sororities at gw, other than they exist. How big is greek life on campus? Does it dominate the social scene?</p>
<p>About 17% of our students are greek, so that is a sizeable number. It doesn't dominate the social scene. They're very open, too - a lot of the members have just as many friends in the system than out. Personally, I've been to many events hosted by the houses and I'm not in the system.</p>
<p>If you're at all curious/interested, go through rush anyway. At the very least, you'll meet a lot of new people and get a lot of free food.</p>
