Most Ivies and LACs in the Northeast have at least some students who fit the New England prep stereotype. It’s a little bit harder to quantify than the other type of preppy because fratty does not always equal NE preppy.

Any specific LACs?

I’m not that familiar with many, but I’ve hear Williams and Amherst fit the bill.

northwestern is not fratty at all
UIllinois & Indiana are heavily frat

any less selective LACs that fit the preppy image that any of you foos would know about? :)

Try: Birmingham Southern, Sewanee, Rhodes College

Those are Southern fratty, not New England preppy like My Name Is Jonas wants. But yes, those schools are very fratty.

I know there’s at least one frat house at MIT where they’ve rigged the doorbell so that it causes the whole building to shake.

Haha that is awesome about MIT. Do you guys have any info. about Birmingham-Southern, besides the fact that they were given the number 1 ranking for frats/sororities by PR.

the bumpty dance

Ole Miss, University of Alabama, University of Georgia, Washington and Lee, Hampden-Sydney, and Sewanee.

Anything that isn’t so deep south, but still has the preppy/fratty atmosphere.

I mean that they aren’t as super conservative and right winged hahah

If you want that type of fratty, you aren’t going to get it anywhere else.

Considering that I’ve partied at all 3 schools - I’d say that NU is fairly “fratty.”

I would agree- for the type of fratty he’s looking for, NU absolutely fits the bill.

Haven’t seen much of Bucknell, Lehigh, or Dartmouth on the replies so far… they’re pretty darn fratty… Definitely agree on Vanderbilt being fratty

Northwestern has a large percentage of the student population in frats or sororities, but I wouldn’t say the Greek scene at NU is necessarily the stereotypical one.

Yeah I agree with summerinthecity.

Plus, I agree that Illinois and Indiana have greek life that dominate.

Last time I checked, UIllinois has the largest greek system in the entire United States.

Aren’t Gettysburg and Colgate pretty fratty?
