I have no problem with it...

I mean whatever, it's all just fun. It's not like you're really having......now that would be disgusting!

um kinda awkward for me but i'm okay with other people doing it

I refuse call it dancing. If you've ever seen real dancing, it doesn't compare.

I think it's degrading to women, and why would I want to stimulate sex in front of other people? That's suppose to be private.

I love it when they play techno and older songs, they're fun to dance to, in non-sexual ways!

That doesn't make me a prude, just someone who respects her body.

^^ Omg, it is not degrading to women [sorry I am on an anti-feminist kick, don't take that personally]. Guys do it too.

Besides, all dancing is sexual in some way. It always has been. Just because you like to dance close doesn't mean you don't respect your body.

Honestly, most of the time I'm pretty modest when it comes to public displays of affection, but at prom (which is really highschool's last hurrah), I see nothing wrong with a little dirty dancing. At my school, there are many more girls than boys so it was ~3 girls dancing with a boy at any given time and you can bet it got a little personal (read: grinding).

So, yeah, walking around school and seeing people on marathon make-out sessions with skirts being pulled up and hands under clothes is gross. But grinding at prom? Where else are you supposed to do it? (Answer: delegate dances at model UN. That's a lot of serious pent up sexual frustration in one place.)

I don't want that image in my head...

but it is! Women are sexually objectified in hip hop culture, where the style of dancing comes from.

Many girls aren't comfortable with it, but do it because they feel it's the norm. That isn't respect.

I think its kind of gross and awkward, personally. A guy asked me to one time, and I was just like "no." And I totally agree with everyone who said they should play more classic rock! I think that would make it alot easier. It's hard to dance to rap and hip-hop, and a lot of rap and hip-hop has lyrics that go beyond suggestive.

yeah I agree.

Country isn't much better by the way, some of the lyrics are awful!

I understand that dancing can be considered sensual and exciting, but when you dance in such a way that it looks indistinguishable from sex, you've got a problem. Since I don't know how to dance, I don't understand how you would not get sexually aroused when you grind. I mean, wouldn't it be weird to see someone salsa dancing with a hard on? Or am I just weird?

Haha, I know this sounds kinda weird, but I would only dance hella nasty with my female friends. Maybe boys I didn't know, but never the boys I know (ohh, they would never let me live it down!). Dancing is sorta a part of the youth culture where I live (Bay Area, California).

grinding definitely does not make you aroused (or at least anyone i know).

I don't get uncomfortable seeing people grind. But when I see people making out right NEXT to me... it's just awkward.

^ Scratch that. If a girl is grinding up on you, what else to you except? It a simple biological response, you cannot defy the power of nature.

Yeah, a girl could get freaked out. It's not very logical of her, but, uh, it's happened, and they've gotten freaked out. Most don't care though.

Well I explained to my friend that if a girl wants to grind all up on you, she better be expecting what's coming for them... I'm not a girl, just saying...

I don't understand what the problem with being sexually sugestive or even having sex is. If two people want to have protected sex, why shouldn't they even if it is only a one night stand?

You guys are nerds lol

i realize this is a strawman's fallacy, but I won't be surprised if open bestiality isn't looked down on in 5 years.

I like classic rock, but how the hell do you plan on dancing to it? Sure this kind of dancing is overtly sexual, but what's the problem with that. You can't get AIDs from being too close to one another.
