Freaking out about ED. Last Min Chances

<p>ACT: 35 (perfect math/science and applying into neuroscience)
GPA: 3.7/4.0
AP: 6 tests, 5-5’s and a 4</p>

<p>Designed a disk replacement for an actual patient. Surgery was completed last month.</p>

<p>Created two clubs at my school.</p>

<p>Work 40hrs a week now.</p>

<p>Won top engineering prospect award at my school</p>

<p>Please give me some chances. =)</p>

<p>Most applicants in the neuroscience program have already had significant experience and/or published biomedical research. I have several friends who attend Brown, and all have remarked that students without 5’s across the boards on their AP tests did not have much success in getting into this highly selective program. Take of that what you will, but I think you’re sixth AP score killed you.</p>

one 4 will not kill you at all, and you don’t think that a disk replacement for an actual patient is significant experience?</p>

<p>as I see it you have a good chance but since it is brown it is hard to say. you definitely have at least as good a chance as anyone though!</p>

<p>Yeah you dont apply to specific programs at Brown anyways your indicated major has no bearing on whether or not you get in.</p>

<p>wow you have a lot of experience!!! that’s terrific. I think you have an adequate chance of getting in. the only thing that seems lower than other applicants is your gpa, but that’s only one part of your application and your surgery experience covers that up imo =)</p>
