Freaking out about NYU

Yes, I've posted this before and I appreciate the responses. But I'm putting off my Math internal assessment and am really worried about NYU Gallatin as I REALLY would like to end up there. Any opinions would be appreciated!

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

bump..........

ACT scores look good, but nearly 70% of people at NYU were in the top tenth of their grauduating class. Quick, make up a story about extenuating circumstances explaining rank.

I kind of have medical circumstances explaining it... but they're kind of mental health related which I hear it's best that colleges don't hear about because then they don't think you're ready for college or something like that and it hurts your admission chances...

So how much will my rank hurt me? Should I try to get a vague note/letter from my doctor or something? I'm pretty close to top 10% and I'm in the most rigorous class load. My teacher also rated my academic performance as "exceptional" so will that help?

no gpa + act/sat are high enough for NYU

no to what?

how its important to be in top 10 percnet

yeah
im pretty sure nyu isnt really rank crazy...

oh
and i think u have a great chance of getting accepted

ur gpa is well above their average
and ur act is slightly above
and u have a challenging courseload

and i dont think top 12% will hurt u at all
if ur from a competetive school

even top 25 or 35 probably wouldnt hurt much if at a really competetive school.

because chances are, that NYU will know that ur school is competetive

yeah
so i think u have a great chance
