I'm an American student who applied to Yale-NUS after they visited my school and I got a chance to talk frankly with their rep. The 4% admit rate from Round 1 frankly terrifies me, since I really am putting this school quite high on my priority list for college. It's mid-February, and the lack of an email indicating I've been shortlisted or requested for an interview freaks the hell out.

Anyway, getting the severe jitters. Has anybody here been admitted under Round 1 and would like to share their stats? For comparison, here's mine:

SAT: 2280 single sitting, 790 CR 690 M 800 W
GPA: 3.89 UW, 4.6 W
Letters of Rec: should be well above average, closer to excellent
ECs: Head intern at a community center, student president for an exchange program, latin club president, varsity debate, peer mentoring, peer tutoring, honor society.
Essay: talked about my experience as an exchange student. counselor and english teacher proofed, many said it was funny and refreshing
Second Essay: talked about my love for history and the influences I had growing towards that love

Comparison please? Or hell, just a chance would be great, because I'm dying over here.
