Freaking out Chance. Chance back at request.

Okay so I screwed up my freshmen year and here it is to bite me is the a**. I am an instate residence in NC. Here are my stats.

Letters of Rec(1-10): ~7-8
Essays (1-10): ~8

Hooks: I have a brother that attends UNC and is a junior now. He is doing well.

Everything is great except my grades. Will my grades make/break me even though my course rigor is enormous. I got ahead of myself and screwed up. :/

NYU (Stern) ED
NYU CAS (ECON) Early Action:
UNC (Instate) Early action:

NYU Stern ED: Matchish
NYU CAS (don’t know much about it) but you’ll probably get in
UNC instate: Match-High Match

NYU Stern: Low Match

NYU CAS: High Match

UNC In-state: High Match

You have an excellent chance at most of these Universities!

Usually schools do not regard freshman year, so don’t sweat the small stuff!

Your weighted grades are great, plus the rigor of your academics will be admirable in the eyes of an admission officer.

Please chance me!

You are looking great at all three… freshmen year won’t be a big deal compared to how you have improved since.

Chance back please http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=1555080

Schools say that the have a holistic approach. My grades arent the best but I have stuff traits that I dont see in other people. Will I still be accepted?

You should get in, especially with a high ACT, 12 AP classes, and great extra-curriculars! Many colleges, from what I’ve heard, disregard freshman year and look for an upward trend. You definitely illustrated that, so hopefully you’re fine. Good luck and I hope you get in to your dream school :)))!
