Freaking Out, need help.

I submitted my app for Stanford REA. However, I've completely forgotten to send test scores till now. What do I do, rush report or regular? Which will get scores in their system sooner. I called college board and they said rush report will get scores in the same exact manner faster, but on threads here (admittedly a few years old ones), I've heard bad things about rush report (that the scores are sent in a different way to a different place through FedEx or something and that causes a delay in their processing there). Are these rumors true, collegeboard said that rush reporting will be the exact same as the regular one except it will arrive sooner (in the same mode). What do I do? Cost is no issue.

Bump

My guess is that they used to send them Fed Ex, but pretty much everything is electronic now. I would take their word for it and rush them.

Call stanford. Both Harvard and Dartmouth’s webpages tell students NOT to rush send October scores for their EA/ED applicants.

It’s not an October score, I just forgot till now

why the panic? Isn’t the REA deadline on 11/1? You have 2 weeks. Save your money and send them regular. Scores are sent electronically these days.

I’ve heard not to rush, it might take longer.

They say 1-2 weeks at college board, idk how long Stanford takes to process.

Don’t worry about how long Stanford takes to process it - again, everything is electronic these days. If they’ve received it, thats all that matters. If it makes you feel more comfortable, call the Stanford admissions office tomorrow morning and ask but I would be shocked if they told you to rush it. Rush delivery is just another College Board money maker IMHO.

Ok my dad sent it in regular. When I talked to Stanford today, they said they didn’t care. They said even if it comes in a bit late it’s fine and they just have to research it. Only thing I was worried was if they wait on looking at my application because of not having test scores, I don’t want a negative first opinion. Whatever. Done is done.

College board has ulterior motive to tell you to rush. It’s all about charging more money for the already stressed seniors.

@DrGoogle‌
Thanks for the help. I did just send it regular. I think I’ll be fine.

<a href=“Myth? "RUSH" sending of ACT or SAT - Applying to College - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1401125-myth-rush-sending-of-act-or-sat.html</a> Read the thorough third post.

great even more of a crisis. my parents haven’t yet filled out the CSS profile. … priority deadline for REA was the 15th. When we called, the adcom said this means we might receive our aid later. What i’m wondering also is if we will get LESS aid too. What exactly happens? I’m considerign havingm y application status changed to RD so that the CSS deadline would be changed to Feb 15th. What should I do? What is the consequence of my negligence?

Stanford promises to meet need so your FA should not be different. How much longer before it gets filed?
