I know these are ambitious, and I do have safeties, I’m just curious at my chances for these colleges. THANK YOU and I will chance back.

I think you have just as good as chance as anyone at all of your choices. You have really good ECs and a good UW gpa. As long as you don’t screw up, I think you’ll get into several top schools. Best of luck.

Your credentials are wonderful! You should be very proud of yourself with what you have accomplished thus far. Doing research at Mt. Sinai is a huge plus to your application, especially since you have a passion in science. Colleges will definitely take note of that.

You have a great chance at all those schools. Keep up the good work!

I mean, the best chance that ANYONE has at any of those schools is probably about 30% (with the exception of maybe Northwestern and WUSTL). You’ll probably get in to one or two of them, but don’t get worked up about it.

If you apply at everything on the list with Columbia ED you will probably get into at least 2 of them but you should target a couple of safeties. The University of Rochester would be a very good fit for your interests. Lots of opportunity for undergraduate research there too.

thank you for your responses. will the lack of leadership position really hurt me though? also any advice as to what i should do now? any responses are helpful.

you’ll get in Columbia ED. (not a guarantee, but you have a great chance, and I have a good feeling :p)

ECs aren’t spectacular, but USABO, research at Mt. Sinai, and Columbia Science Program all show passion for science, and considerable commitment. Leadership is nice, but not everyone’s gonna be a leader anyhow.

Looks good to me. Good luck, maybe see you at Columbia :)
