I’m an international Regular Decision applicant and the decisions are due to be out anyday now. My school will not be able to submit the Mid Year Report before April, so my application checklist is still incomplete- I emailed admissions about this before, but they just vaguely told me to “submit it when it’s available”. However, since it can’t be uploaded till after decisions are out, is there any chance my application will not be reviewed at all because of the missing Mid Year Report? I’m freaking out over this and they haven’t replied to/acknowledged any of my recent emails requesting for my first quarter grades to be considered instead of the mid year grades!
Hi! I just had the same issue a few months ago. It’s not a problem - my school didn’t release Mid Year Reports until January 2017, but I was accepted in December 2016 as an Early Decision 1 applicant. Your school will probably take care of sending the report whenever it’s available, so I wouldn’t worry too much. Your application will definitely be reviewed! Good luck!
Thank you @archyr !! I really hope so!
Campus has been closed the past two days because of a snowstorm, so that could be why you haven’t received a reply yet. If they told you to just submit it when you can, they mean it. Don’t panic. What are your grades like? Are they pretty solidly good throughout high school? If so, your midterm grades won’t affect your admission decision anyway - they already know you can do quality work. Midterms are for two reasons. 1) For students who had a rough start or a bad semester and admissions wants to know they have worked hard to get things back to normal or 2) for admissions to make sure (after you’re accepted) that you haven’t totally slacked off because you got into college.
Either way, it’s unlikely to change their decision unless they’re reaaaallllly bad grades. You’re fine!
Got in so I’m safe! Thanks guys!!
