Okay, my dumb self attached wrong personal essay, and I already submitted essay...however the deadline isn't until 12/1...do you think admissions will let me send the correct one in file if I email them or create another application all together?

You can’t create another account just because you sent them the wrong essay. I’m not sure but i heard you’re technically doomed if you submitted the wrong one… You can try emailing them.

This happened to my daughter years ago with the Common App. She called the regional adcom counselor the next day (after a sleepless night, of course), and sent her the correct essay by email and regular mail with a mea culpa cover letter. It all worked out. It was a very tough way to learn that lesson to double check everything before she hit “submit.” I would hope most colleges would be just as understanding if you call and very politely explain the mishap.

She then created another version of the Common App with the correct essay for all her other schools.

Don’t worry about it - I submitted my Common app 1 week before the deadline, and this was not my fault, but the common app didn’t save my files, although the preview was perfectly fine ( I had this triple checked with a few people). I just sent an email with the essays, and it was perfectly fine.
