Freaking Out!!!!!

Can my UC admission be revoked if I didn't provide my full legal name on my application??? PLEASE HELP!

…What did you provide?
As long as you didn’t make up a name… Shouldn’t matter… May help to send them an e-mail with your legal name though, for legal and filing purposes. They won’t revoke your admission though…

I provided my real legal name, I just didn’t provide my full legal name. Thanks so much Pancaked! I’m really freaking out here and by the time March swings around I don’t want my admission being revoked because of it…

Any suggestions on what should I do? Or am I freaking out for no reason…HELP NEEDED PLEASE!

Don’t freak out!

Email the admission’s dept.

Example:

After sending my application to (fill in the name of college), I realized that I failed to include my full legal name. I applied as (fill in name you used when you applied). My complete full legal name is (fill in the name of your complete legal full name). Is it necessary to formally make this correction?

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

(your name)
address
telephone number

To each of the UC’s I applied to correct?

Sure. It’s quick and easy. It seems to be the simplest and most logical way to address the issue.

Thank you so much nysmile! :)

It’s probably a good idea to keep hardcopies of the email correspondences just in case you need them later to prove that you did indeed contact the colleges regarding the confusion about your name.

I will indeed do that. I just sent e-mails to two of the four UC’s I applied and hopefully all goes well. Thank you so much for your help nysmile! :)

Good luck :)

BUMP!!! Does anyone have any suggestions??? I’m really worried about UC Davis right now and whether my admission will get revoked if I do get accepted. Help Pleaseeeee!
