So I was just today re-reading the essay that I sent to UF and am freaking out because of how angry my essay sounded. I did not intend for my essay to sound this way, it is just the way I write. I received around a 2100 SAT and have a high gpa so I am not too concerned on that front. Is it possible that my essay could possibly or likely prevent me from receiving acceptance?

You shouldn’t worry to much about it. It doesn’t matter if it’s “angry”, only that it’s well written and answered the prompt. UF’s holistic admissions sometimes feels random, but if you have everything else in place (GPA, SAT, ECs’, etc.), you shouldn’t be too concerned with the essay (as long as it’s well written…).

Good Luck!

Thanks so much!
