Freaking out

NOTE: I'm in IB, take that for what it's worth.

UF accepted me early decision in december based on my grades then which were mostly Bs, 2-3 C's for a semester. I learned today that my history grade for the final semester is going to be a D. The first semester grade which they didn't see was a C, and I've basically been getting Cs in history all along. My other grades are basically on par with what I'd been getting all throughout.

I've been freaking out now, wondering what's going to happen. Will UF rescind my acceptance or will they let one D with the IB curriculum go by? Please reply soon, and if there's somebody I can contact at UF who would know something please tell me as well.

Meh. I really wouldn't worry. As long as you're not bombing all of your classes, they shouldn't rescind. Many seniors slide in the last semester. Whether or not this happened to you, your grades may look that way, and they see it a lot. It certainly isn't proof that you're a good-for-nothing and undeserving of a space in UF.

You could contact admissions at UF, but that may just be drawing attention to yourself. Don't freak out. I'm very sure you'll be okay.
