Fredo, I recall that your son is interested in schools with good Golf programs. Golf Digest has just released its ratings of the best schools for Golf so thought I'd pass along the link: http://www.golfdigest.com/features/index.ssf?/features/gd200509collegegolf4.html

Very interesting find! It looks like Golf Digest did their homework, especially with the "Balanced" list that includes quite a few LACs!

Thanks, Carolyn! Unfortunately, he is neither a) that good a golfer or b) that good a student. I can only dream of his attaining either one. But that's okay - he's such a good kid (if, at times, quite the sullen teenage boy!) and he'll do fine in the long run.

I think if he plays college golf, it will be at the DIII level. In the next year and a half, I'll be exploring some of those hidden gems we've talked about on CC. He will be a challenge to find a college for and this next year (his junior year) will be very telling on both an academic and golf level. If his grades come up and his golf average comes down, I think he'll have more options - let's certainly hope that it's not the reverse!!

carolyn- thanks!!! My brother's focusing on golf now (no chance at hockey). But like fredo's S, he'll just have to play DIII if he chooses to play at school and not a super-duper student. Both will have to get better (scores and GPA).

The links to the Balanced and Academics First lists are reversed - so actually, the list with the most lacs is really the Academics first list.
