Free Computer Programming Courses

What are some good free resources online for learning computer programming?

What language are you interested in? Do you have any prior experience with any kind of programming?

Have you tried Stanford’s Engineering site?

I don’t have any experience programming at all. I think I recall someone telling me that C# is is a good language to start with

Dreburden there is a 3 part Intro course

Berkeley and MIT also have many CS course videos and materials on-line.

Thanks guys

Here’s some CS foundational stuff and programming at Khan Academy for free. They are entirely free and started with a guy tutoring math to his family and are getting high profile grants now. They are expanding and opened this CS portion. [Khan Academy](<a href=“Khan Academy | Free Online Courses, Lessons & Practice”>Khan Academy | Free Online Courses, Lessons & Practice)

I’m so happy to see that Sal Khan has added a Computer Science section to his website.

I’m actually surprised he’s never done it before, considering that was one of his majors at MIT (I think).
