Does anyone know when the t-shirts come in? I ordered one right after I got my acceptance letter in e-mail...and for those who ordered it last year (if indeed it was available last year free for newly admitted students), how long did it take for the shirts to come in?

Thanks...

And also, will I need to accept Cornell's offer to enroll before receiving the free gift?

Yeah I ordered one and haven’t gotten it yet, looks like we’ll just have to wait a bit longer!
But Cornell was the only school that I got into that offered me a free T-shirt. I actually do not own a SINGLE piece of college gear, I wanted to buy at least one at one of the schools I visited, but my parents’ schpiel before 3/31 was “you can only get a shirt when you’re accepted”. Now that I’m accepted to a few places, their schpiel is “you can only get a shirt when you know where you’re going!”
Parents.

Ooh yeah, I second dragon’s question - do transfers get a free tshirt as well? I’m a GT and I’m at college, and my application had my home address so my parents got my acceptance packet and I haven’t gotten to look at it yet so I have no idea if it mentioned anything like that. Considering tuition is going to leave me broke for a good long while, I’m up for any free Cornell clothing!! Lol.

Hehe yeah, but if you look at the back of the folder it gives you a website. If you go to that website, there is a circular link that says Free Cornell Gear!! or something like that. I dont mind paying for a Cornell T-shirt :)!

^^^ It’s probably too late to order now since they do have a small number of T-shirts available. Also I don’t think there is a free one for transfers because that T-shirt will have a Class of 2013 on it. So that’s my bet.

Still have yet to get mine… Requested on day of admission (a matter of minutes after actually…).

We did however get the “Cornell Parent” car sticker. My mom didn’t want it, so I cut the parent off and stuck just the Cornell on my car. Haha.

I’m probably gonna order another shirt and a different sticker anyway, but if anyone else requested the bumper sticker and their parents don’t want it, it looks great, just cut off the parent. It’s not an actual sticker either, it’s one of those clear vinyl ones, the static cling ones, that stick on the inside of the window and come off with no residue or anything (no adhesive). Definitely very nice.
