So does anyone work for an employer that foots part of the bill for an MBA?

Mine and my husband’s was paid in full, but it was long time ago. We got MBAs because it was paid for, otherwise, we would not, since we really do not need it in our carrers. However, I found that it is easier to get a job if you posses MBA, people are often get impressed by it.

We have heard this too about an MBA. Also heard this about a law degree. Just wondered if this opportunity is still available.

Sure it is. However, it is not always in the best interest of the candidate to go this route. Often times when a Fortune-500 type employer pays for an employees MBA, the employee just ends up back in a similiarly crappy role to what they had previously (higher paying, and higher position, but often without a fast-track to the really big $s).

However, if you are with a good employer of MBA level positions (example: good consulting company) and they are willing to pay for you to go to a top school then I’m all for it.

MGM Mirage gives you tuition reimbursement for all classes that pertain to hospitality management or business. I am looking at about %50 of my MBA being covered from UNLV (Masters in Hospitality gets about %80).
