Free Mentoring Service for Accepted Gay Cornell Students

FaQ Online is a "chat-style" mentoring service
for accepted (and current!) Cornell students who have questions about
their sexual orientation or same-sex attractions or who want to know more about gay life here at Cornell**

*It is an anonymous, safe, affirming and instant online service.
*It is staffed by trained student mentors who
identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender
(LGBT) or straight allies.
*Mentors can provide accounts of their own
personal experiences, and information & referrals
to resources in the LGBTQ, Cornell and Ithaca
communities.

You can chat with a mentor by accessing the
Haven website and clicking on the "Online" icon:

FaQ Online will be available on a pilot basis
starting on Sunday, April 16th and will operate
on SUNDAYS and WEDNESDAYS from 7 - 11 PM through
Wednesday, May 10th.

Contact FaQ Online's advisor, Jamie Sorrentino, (jcs14@cornell.edu) for more information!

**Please note that during this pilot stage, we will not be offering mentoring to accepted students younger than 18 years of age.

CollegeConfidential is NOT and advertising billboard. Thanks.

No, this has nothing to do with the topic of the ad, but advertisements for events/clubs/groups etc is not allowed.

My intent wasn't to spam the forum so much as it was to provide an outlet for many of (surely) LGBT students who will be matriculating at Cornell next year; there are lots of pre-frosh students who have questions about LGBT life at Cornell and don't know where to go to ask questions. I should know; I was one last year.

If, however, one of the mods would like me to remove my original post, then they can PM me and I will certainly do so.
