I got some old SAT books from the library. I'm planning to take one to summer college (to stare at, perhaps). My choices are:

Barron's (21st ed., 2001)

CollegeBoard (March 2005)

I've heard that Barron's tend to be more challenging. Does the date matter? I don't remember when the SAT changed format...

I'd appreciate any advice!

hmmm...maybe you should do a better search at your library. I usually find books from 2008. In fact, I got 2 AP books and 3 subject test book from my library...all were 2007-2008.

I don't know if your library has this, but in my area there's a system where you can order books from libraries across the state. I can almost always find up-to-date books that way, even ones that have just come out.

Ah, I should have been clearer.

Our library system does have more recent editions of those test prep books. I work at the local library, and a patron donated some test prep books. I'll be gone for six weeks, so I figured I'd take the used books rather than check out the library copies (which I may potentially lose).

So, my question is, Which of the aforementioned books will be more useful?

I'll also be gone for 6 weeks. But I'm still going to check out some library books. I'll just renew them online while I'm gone. (you can do that at my library).

Yes, I'm also aware of my library's renewal policy. However, I've chosen not to take library books. So, given the titles mentioned, I'd like to know which you'd take?

you'llsee, you wouldn't happen to be attending Cornell's program, would you?

No, I'm attending Carnegie Mellon's Program.

But anyway, definitely get the CollegeBoard's book.
