<p>Project Gutenberg has lots of eBooks, but they're all books that are in the common domain.</p>
<p>If you have a library account with a university that sponsors it, netlibrary.com is nice...though the books are usually ones that you might find in an actual university library.</p>
<p>I just found a site(btw...I use project gutemberg too ;) ). it's bibliomania.com.</p>
<p>The new feature on google, google books, allows you to find books but only lets you sample a few pages out of most of them...it's worth a try though</p>
<p>The amazon 'look inside' feature can be (mis)used. Searching for a common term yields nearly every page as a result. Simply click on every page and read.</p>
<p>I discovered a hidden limit when doing that, but I suppose the best workaround is to establish a new account, reconfigure your IP address, and continue.</p>
<p>If it's a popular book then you can always just download a torrent of the ebook. It's illegal though ;).</p>
