Free Online Sat Prep.

Hello there. Ive contemplated joining this message board since the very first day I found it, and a few minutes ago I decided to officially join in on the fun! Ive read through many threads and you all are a smart group of people. This is the only place that I look at for SAT prep now. So, lets break it down.

I have 2 books to prepare for the SAT in October. The big blue book (updated version), as well as the power score math bible. (I'm very bad at math) I still need a source for vocabulary and grammar. IF you guys would be so kind as to give me links on the web then that would be fantastic. My parents really dont want to buy any books, they would rather invest in a online course...I looked at the obvious when searching, princeton review, kaplans and power score, but none of these seem to convince me. I want to have a course that assigns me quizzes and lessons every single time I log on...as well as fits to mold my weaknesses and such.

So this is what came to my attention..If you type in Free online sat prep in google you will find a bunch of online courses, but are they any good? You guys swear buy BB and BB online coourse but some people say it hasnt helped them whatsoever...I also looked into a course by ****** but its just too much money for my parents to pay! HELP ME PLEASE! D:

the thing that is ************** is actually PrEp Me. Sorry for the weird upper lower case thing but i dnt understand why it did that…

ok, well first of all I have experience with Kaplan. It was really expensive- about $999- and wasnt really worth the money. I improved my score simply by just practicing through the BB. Now, that is not to say that Kaplan did not help me AT ALL (it did help with writing section- raised score by about 60? maybe more?), but it really wasnt all that helpful. Unless u r scoring in the 1500s-1700s, dont go with Kaplan. I am currently around the 2100s and the class went over VERY basic material. (I laughed at this one: The teacher asked the class How many inches are there in a foot? lol…)
As for vocabulary, look into Direct Hits volumes 1 and 2. Though it has not really helped me too much on the reading section (I am consistently getting like 5 questions wrong with vocab with and without the book), it has helped me with everyday life vocabulary. If u have a relatively weak vocab, then definitely get these books.
