Every individual is characterized by certain set of traits to which no one else is better acquainted than the individual himself. Similarly the set of rules and situations that favor us to give our best also vary with every individual. Putting it in simple words, certain person, say Peter, might understand the concept better while studying alone in a library where as another person, say Joan might understand better by watching a video tutorial or attending a lecture. As the favorable set of situations is unique to individuals, people accomplish better when they are allowed to do things their way. Life of famous people like Albert Einstein, Richard Feynman and many other literary figures strongly corroborates this statement.

Albert Einstein was never a bright student at school; he stood fourth in a class of five. In his college too, he was never taken as smart student. He would often bunk classes because he never saw any purpose in attending such classes. In other words he found those classes pointless. He studied on his own. Now, no twentieth century scientist is more admired than him. His success can be largely attributed to his freedom to work on his own, and in his own style.

Another example includes the eccentric Richard Feynman whose works in Quantum Electrodynamics is unparalled. From the high school school, he had developed his own set of symbols for use in Calculus and never followed the widely used set of symbols. Like Albert Einstein and Richard Feynman, there are numerous other people who have greatly succeeded in their field because they chose to follow their own way of doing things.

Just like in science, there are many such people who have followed their own style. These people though widely criticized in the beginning are latter known as innovators. T.S.Elliot was an innovator in writing seemingly meaningless and obscure poems. Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray was widely criticized for its immoral nature. However, later it became renowned as a great piece of literature. These people, discarding the established styles, followed their own style and gave outstanding performance, hence astounding everyone.

Thus every single individual has his own set of circumstances that favor him. Whether it be Einstein, Feynman or T.S. Elliot, people give best when they follow their own style. It implies that modern teaching system should focus on providing only creative and competitive environment for students and allowing them to learn their way. That is teachers and colleges should act as only mediators for students.
