I have a free third period (I'm taking 6 APs and 1 honors course).
I'm not too crazy about having the free third. It makes me feel like a sitting goose. I could be doing something during that time at school if that makes sense?

What do you recommend to fill that space up? I'm not allowed to enroll into a new class since it has already been 2 weeks into school. I'm looking to major in Architecture and am aiming for Cornell.
Right now i'm taking:
Physics B AP/Art History AP/Human GEO AP/Precalc H/Comparative GovAP/Envisci AP/AP Lang.

Should I:

-TA for a teacher.
-Fill that space up with a possible internship somewhere (at my school, if you get an internship during school hours, it counts as a class..not 100% sure on how that works though).
-Just use the time to do hw?
-other suggestions?

I'm not too sure what to do.. I have art classes two days a week so I really want to get an internship but i'm not sure if I'll have the time or the suitable schedule to..
what do you suggest?

Lol I have 3-4 study halls every day, alternating. Out of 9 periods total.

I’m self studying AP Physics C, doing an online AP Comp Sci course, and preparing for USAPhO.

You should consider self studying something. Also, I’ve never heard of a high school student TAing for a school teacher. Or interning during school hours.

honestly, this is so weird for me. i have a study hall almost every day, for one period, because of my labs. even when i was taking ap bio, ap chem, and physics I last year, i still had a free period. i always use my study halls for hw, and so does every other ap student in my school.

I have a free period every other day. Next semester I’ll have one every day. Use it to do homework, study for any tests later that day, listen to music and/or chill.

I doubt you’d be able to get an internship that only takes up one class period (unless you’re class periods are abnormally long). I’d recommend either TA-ing for a teacher or using it as a study hall. If you TA, you may be able to do tasks to keep you busy, but still have time to do some homework or such. When I worked as an aide in classrooms, I always finished the work quickly, and I’d always have time for other things.

I don’t think an internship would be feasible…after you factor out time for transportation, you can’t possibly have a decent chunk of time to intern. If you were missing a first or last period I could see it working, but not a third.

I would suggest using it for homework or being a TA (although at my school, this is pretty much the same thing, lol).
