<p>One program that I have really enjoyed is the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. It is open to citizens and non-citizen residents of Canada, including people who are there for university studies. The program includes a chamber music component for most members of the orchestra, and at the end, the orchestra tours through Canada!</p>
<p>It is tuition-free, and everybody receives a $1000 honorarium at the end of the summer. There are also some additional monetary awards - check website for details. Students are responsible for the cost of travel to and from the festival and for meals during the tour.</p>
<p>I participated twice, and absolutely loved it both times! I highly recommend it. If anyone would like further information, feel free to send me a message.</p>
