Free Thursday night movies with UT ID

Seeing first run movies at the Texas Union for free on Thursday nights sounds good. I see they are showing "I am Legend" and "Juno" in March. We heard about this on our tour. Anyone who wants to can go with their UT ID, and they can bring a friend who does not have a UT ID. Is the theater big enough to hold everyone who shows up? Thursday night is sort of the start of the weekend.

I am not sure if they can accommodate all the people some times. The one movie I was waiting to see for a long time, American Gangster, was having a free preview screening at the Union, but we got there and hour and a half early, and there was already 3-400 people in line, and we were clearly not getting in so yeah...

Some shows, especially in the beginning of the year (Grindhouse comes to mind) fill up really quickly. They have two showings, one at 7, and the other at 10 (or it might have been 6 and 9, I need to double check that). The earlier one is much less crowded, so you might want to consider going to that.

Also, don't forget

wow, that's weird, my post got cut off......

don't forget that there is also a move on wednesday night. The SEC also hosts some really interesting speakers (like Wes Clark and Nolan Ryan this year), so definitely drop by the union every once in a while to see what's going on.
