Free Tuition at Harvard?

@HappyAlumnus

Let’s not start falsely and anonymously accusing people you disagree with of invidious motives.

Nothing about Free Harvard, Fair Harvard is remotely “racist”; it is not about affirmative action but free tuition and transparency in admissions.

Harvard magazine (affiliated with Harvard), Harvard Law Record (affiliated with Harvard Law School) and the New York Times have written about or published articles about Mr. Unz and the Free Harvard initiative without the need to falsely disparage the guy.

Let’s keep in mind too that he went on record opposing opposing the cutting off social services to immigrants in California.

If you have donated to Harvard, then your money is being used to “fund” education for “wealthy white people” (your words, not mine. The endowment funds Harvard, whose student body is disproportionately wealthy (many of whom are also white). Increasing SES diversity at Harvard would change that.

What’s a better compounded growth rate to use for projecting future growth in Harvard’s endowment?

@MyOdyssey, again, if you’re going to post arguments and list me as the person to whom you’re responding, please actually read my post and respond to it. Don’t make up things and use “straw man” arguments.

First, I was very careful to say that I am not calling Ron Unz a racist. He is the one who appeared with Jared Taylor at a conference. Read into that what you want, and also Google the terms “Race IQ Ron Unz”. Are you comfortable with what he writes? I am not.

Second, I gave to Harvard but do not want my donation used for FREE education for WHITE BILLIONAIRES. Of course my dollars fund education for wealthy people of all races there. Duh.

Again: why should white billionaires be given a free Harvard education when they can easily afford it?
