D has been accepted into the business programs at both Tulane and SMU. She is trying to decide between them. Does anyone have any input regarding these programs? D is particualry interested in internship opportunities and study abroad.

I'm currently a Tulane Business school student in one of the top ranked programs--Strategy and Entrepreneurship (9th internationally), and am considering Cox for my MBA. The B-school is known as the A & B free school and is often the butt of many jokes because of its huge endowment in relation to other programs in the school. For study abroad, you basically sign up, and are taught by Freeman-approved faculty whereas in other schools there is often a rigorous application process. Job placement at freeman is great, goldmann sachs recruits here a lot, and New Orleans is definitely a relaxing atomosphere though I suspect it might be that way at Cox, too. They are both great schools but Tulane is ranked better overall and is in a better city (I'm from Dallas) for college students, and considering our 22% admission rate and 100% application increase, I think Tulane's reputation is going up.

Thanks so much for your input. D decided today to attend Tulane and the Freeman School of Business. I really feel good about her decision.
