This is a great idea!

isn’t this a old site? Beside, how do we even know that the rice actually goes to the hungry people?

exactamundo^

Yes, as can be seen by looking at the totals and comparing the amount produced in 2008 to the last two years.

You don’t, but that goes for any charitable cause.

In all seriousness though, that’s a stupid question.

you know, 50,000 grains of rice sounds like you are single-handedly ending world poverty, but in reality, it is only about one bowl of rice…

I wish we could give them something more luxurious to eat than rice.

But I still want to help. What are the questions?

like tofu??? lol. vocab questions

We were on this today in school. It’s really helpful for getting a better sense of Geography, and it’s for a good cause!

why isnt it freerice.org

Don’t play this game if you don’t enjoy it, because it’s far easier to just give a few dollars to the same charity.

It’s a fun game; I’ve used it to refresh my memory on elements and countries/capitals. I know it’s drawn criticism for turning world hunger into a game – or something like that – but as long as you’re not convinced you’re not singlehandedly ending world hunger it’s still a decent way to pass time.

What are good scores on freerice? I just tried this for the first time and got to level 45, but I think I had a hot run on a few fuzzy words. Please don’t tell me that you all are at 55+. :)
