french ap anyone?

Oh, sorry-- My teacher has it. But I remember 80% or higher was a 5.

Seems ungenerous, seeing that 50%^ is a 5 in bio

i have my test in 1 hour. i am so screwed. i have been trying to review all morning but i think there really is no saving me now... haha. oh well. here goes my 1.

is it true that there is a score lower than a 1? called a - or something? i really hope i don't get that.

I'm pretty good at reading, APDoolittle, so that could be why our opinions differ. I usually get most right on the reading sections, leaving an average of six blank and getting none wrong. If I think I'm going to get something wrong, I just leave it blank. I think the rejoinders were easier... I still don't think I did as well as you, but I know I got pretty much the entire reading section and the majority of the listening section correct.

How was the 2003 curve??

AHH i found the speaking a lot easier than i expected. i dindt stupidly sit there trying to think of words ot say and i kept speaking and speaking. i couldnt ifnish my thoughts in the 1 minute cuz i kept rambling...

just think of cornerstones laughing hysterically into the mic. when she can't interpret ANYTHING!!!

[/quote]

oh cornerstones, i imagined you laughing at the tape, not even interpreting the question. it made me loosen up abit! ;)
anyways i hope we all did well!!!!

essay was strong for me. i think 7 or 8.

listening. ***! i got some but not most. i was lost on the diaglogue part. i think listening screwed me up majorly.but then again, we only did listening like maybe 3 times this whole year in class. and we only did ONE extended dialogue lisetning in the class.

reading was ok. i think i got most right. we only did reallly short reading passages in class but iw as able to finish ok.

fill in the blank, i wasnt sure on 2-4 of them. verbs im strong on, probably missed 2 or so. but there wasnt any where iwas like "*** is this"

i think i got a 3. maybe a 4.
idont want to get my hopes up too high because if i actually get a 2, im going to be depressed ilke hell.

2003 curve was BRUTAL.

80%^= 5

B-R-U-T-A-L

Haha, eh if I didn't get a 5 and ended up w/ a 4... I wouldn't care too much. Honestly, a 4 is still good for credit @ Pton. But I don't even need a good grade on this exam b/c I already get credit/placement for my 740 on the SAT II in French. I guess I'll just wait and see how I do for personal satisfaction :D

i got a 670 on the sat II. it would've counted at stanford (had i gotten in)
har harhar.

if i get a 4, i'll be rejoiced.
3 will only allow me to be "eligible for competency" at uchic. whatever that means. but no credit. only for 4-5 they give credit. (please i hope iget a 4 although i'll probaly get a 3)

Candlefungus, 50% in Bio is a 4, not a 5! I think you need like 60-ish % for a 5 in Bio

there was a native french guy taking the french AP. like literally lived in france for 10-something years and recently came to america like a few years ago.
i bet it was a blowoff for him.
why would he waste 3 hours of his time (and 52 dollars)? -_-

DARN THOSE NATIVES

Is it 60%? I don't remember; I took it last year haha.

Pton=Princeton???

Haha, yeah sorry. I'm used to abbreviating it :D

P[rince]ton's AP policy is both generous and miserly at the same time. They give credit for 4's and 5's (instead of JUST 5's) but there are some tests that they don't recognize (like AP Psych - which I self-studied and got a 5 on last year). Oh well :) you take the good w/ the bad I guess (and at Pton, there's A LOT of GOOD to be had, so I can't compalin)! ;)

Jon, what do you want to study at Princeton? Are you going to still continue with French? Are you fluent in French?
I want to become fluent in French! Hopefully I'll study abroad at Uchic.

Princeton is Pton, I believe.

80%? Hello, my 2. I hope that I still stay in French 203, regardless of my horrible score.

Have any of you ever witnessed people cheating on AP exams? I did today and I'm not sure if my telling the CB that I did was fair or not.

80% a 5? AHAHAH ok then take that back about me getting a 3. hello my ONE.

no, i think u did the correct thing about telling CB bout the cheating.

Haha, Emmared how did you cheat??

DEF report it. I'm this close to reporting how I lost 1 min on each section of my English exam lol

Lol Jon I think emmared means (s)he witnessed someone cheating when (s)he said "I did today"
not that (s)he cheated her/himself :p

I am a "she". Yeah, I wouldn't cheat... I'd feel too guilty. I did tell the CB... I just feel guilty that I told. :</p>

aw emmared dont feel guilty! i would've done the same thing if i were you.

Oh haha sorry I misread that. LOL, I had 2 APs today so my brain is... mush. I'm also a little nervous about some upcoming APs, so my mind (what's left of it) is elsewhere ;) I apologize :D
