yea i was exhausted after my frenchAP. iono how you guys survive taking 2 AP's back to back.

french ap exam = brutal slaughter

at one point I told my proctor that I didn't understand ANYTHING... and asked her if the AP readers would understand what language i was writing my essay in.

(well, what can I say...atleast I loosened up the atmosphere...everyone burst out laughing..)

yea all of the kids in AP Lang + Comp and French chose French and decided to take AP Eng Lit because most colleges only accept one English.

ChittyChittyBangBang that was hilarious!! I'm sorry to find humor in your plight, but I seriously chuckled from your post (the end especially). I'm sorry you found it tough though! I found the reading tough but the rest was awesome. Good luck to you though!

-Jon

hey umm... ;[

i took french. i thought the mc was hard. the free response was EAAAAASYYYY.

the speaking. omfg in my brightness id never taken a practice speaking portion. I messed up on the directions! when it said to start recording i got confused and didnt start recording until the first beep and stopped recording after the second beep. I did this for 3 of the 5 problems. do you think they will still score me??????

AHHHHH

i stopped recording after each question for about 2 questions too! ahh.
after that , i just let the recorder play and record evthing until the master tape actually told me to stop.
ack

Yeah I screwed up w/ the tape recorder too. I kept stopping it even though I wasn't supposed to. I didn't mean to but it was just habit. Then I would replay it. I think that's how I did it on the AP Spanish two years ago, so I was just used to that. Idk.... w/e it's over and I think I got a 4 or 5 so w/e :D Good luck to you all!

-Jon ;)

I just came back from it. Listening I guessed like 75% of the questions, essay I really liked and nailed, fill ins were ok (I think I missed one or two), reading was ok (except that passage on perfumes?), and speaking went pretty well.

Hopefully a 3 or 4.

wow didnt u say u also learned italian, APDoo? So many languages!

Does anyone have a guesstimate of the curve for this year?

hey APDoo, what's your xanga address?

www.xanga.com/ex_mea_sententia (my Xanga)

Yep, I'm also taking AP Italian. I haven't taken a class or studied for it. I'm totalling winging this test, but I think I can get a 5 if not a 4. :D

Does anyone remember any of the answers? or can we not talk about it because some may take it late?

Well, we're not supposed to discuss MC questions ever. Ilovelamp (a CCer on this thread) is probably just finishing her test right now (she's from Hawaii). Idk... it's best not to talk about it. Besides, there's supposedly some sort of warning on CC not to talk about AP info anyway.

I dont wanna jynx it
but the listening was OKAY

the reading was hard
i felt so stupid cause i did the last reading first and it was like 10 questions and like 20 x harder than all the other passages
so i cldnt get to finish one passage in the middle
the speaking was EASY
the preps and verbs were EASY
and the essay was EASY

except i didnt realize it was a 2 part question and didnt really focus on which i preferred and why.. but i focused on the importance of team spirit..
idk how big of a deal that was.

Haha, does your CC username reflect your attitude concerning your potential AP score? LOL, if you focused on the importance of team spirit, I'm pretty sure the AP readers will realize that you've "implied" that you'd rather work in groups (unless you didn't emphasize that too much). Either way, congrats! I hope I get a 5, but a 4 is fine! :)

Does anyone have an idea about how the scoring works?

If you have a past year's (released exam's) scoring guidelines and grade cut-offs, PLEASE post that info. I'm curious to estimate my potential score. Thanks in advance :)

Alright, let's see.

Listening: pretty easy
Reading: OH MY GOD. I'll preface this by saying that reading is always my worst subject. So as I'm sitting in my chair I start committing suicide b/c I don't understand ANYTHING. But then afterwards I was looking over what answers I put and felt somewhat confident.
Fill-Ins: More difficult than any single practice one I've ever taken. There were like 4 that I wasn't ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE on. Generally there's 1.
Essay: Okay, too cheesy in my opinion. Ran out of time so didn't have enough time to go back and edit it.
Speaking: I did really well, liked the topics

Haha, Zach, guess you really couldn't talk about "le 18eme siecle" in this essay.... or COULD YOU? ;) :D

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the reading part to be utter suicide!

Just generally, I feel I may have gotten a 4 or 5, but if anyone has a past scoring guide, I'd appreciate it! Thanks :)

Haha, no, unfortunately not. I used one political example to introduce the topic, but all my other ones were so blatantly made-up it's funny.
