See if you can order DVD’s of Plus Belle La vie (a daily soap taking place in a Marseille neighborhood), Fais pas ci Fais pas ça (two upper middle class families in a Parisian suburb, a comedy, the mother who screams AAAA TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABLE is a very famous element of the intro), Petits Meurtres d’Agatha Christie (what is Agatha Christie mysteries were adapted to France in the 30’s? Then, France in the 50s?). France4 has stuff for teenagers but I don’t know if they do original series.
@MYOS1634 That’s a really great idea! She would love to watch a soap opera, the cheesier the better 
ETA a quick Google search shows the DVD’s may not be compatible with US DVD players
