French High School students

Thank you mommy rocks I didn’t know about it ; I thought every universities of the top 50 are well connected to air ports.

Indeed Alexandre, the best way to travel from Congo to USA is viz Paris (or Casablanca), there are many flights going to New York so I will choose in priority the closest university to Newyork , and as you said Ann Arbor is well conected to Paris so I won’t remove it.

I still have a question ; is it possible to take the Sat and two Sat subjects the same day ? because there is more or less one month between two Sat date and if I have to take one test each months I won’t be able to apply for the early action :frowning:

No, the SAT critical reasoning test takes an entire test date. You can take up to three subject test on the same test date. But you cannot take the SAT critical reasoning test and the SAT subject tests on the same day. Are you pressed for time?

The major airports in the USA are listed below. You can go to Googlemaps to check out distances from any campus to one of these airports if you like. Some campuses will have trains that go to major cities and airports, and others won’t – then you will need to try to get a shuttle, tax, bus, or ride in someone’s car to get there. So distance may not be as important as the options you have for getting there.

@Alexandre thanks for the correction on Ann Arbor’s proximity to the Detroit airport – my mistake.

Thank you so much @mommyrocks

Yes I am quite pressed, I would like to apply for each univerisity as early action but I think it’s almost impossible now :frowning:

Michigan does not require SAT subject tests. You can apply EA to Michigan.

Oh great thanks ; im loving more and more this university

You can’t apply early action to multiple of those universities. Most of the universities on your list that have early action are single choice early action, which means you can only apply to one of them in early action. You would have to apply regular action to the rest.

Really ? I didn’t know about it. But how will they know ? In US universities are not supposed to work independently from each other ?

Some universities have restrictive early action. Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Yale all do. Restrictive EA means you cannot apply early (action or decision) anywhere else, although public universities are exempt, which means you can apply to Michigan EA, even if you apply to a restrictive EA school.

But since you will not be taking the SAT 2 subject tests on time for EA, it does not matter, unless you apply to Stanford EA, as they do not require subject tests.

While universities with restrictive EA cannot check where else you applied, or if you apply to another school EA or ED against the terms of their policy, applicants are expected to act with integrity. They are on their honor.

You can only apply ED to one university since it is binding (and you, along with your parents and perhaps the school counselor, must sign the ED agreement).

Take the ACT in September if you can be added to the “standby” list.

For universities with SCEA/REA, you can apply to ONE of them PLUS to public universities and universities outside the US until you have your decision.

Thank you for all your advice. I still need some, but now I am focusing on the SAT maths level II (it is the one you recommended me, i still don’t understand why MIT let us choose between the level I and the level II , i guess the second one is harder, so everyone will take it  but i follow your advice and i will take the level II). Basically, I’am looking for website that prepare well for it. I found SparkNote that seems good, if you know any other please tell me.
