What is the best way to study French III in a short amount of time? (Note: money means i can't afford a personal tutor)

I'm currently self studying french iii, and am a little over halfway through the book, and it's the beginning of august. I'm sort of worried that I'll barely finish the book by just reading, and I wont be able to properly get the speaking experience, which is a lot of the focus of this course

My book is Discovering French-Rouge: Level 3 by Valette and Valette

I'm looking for a French crash course, something like Micheal Thomas (CDs), that will cover the specific lessons. Anything is fine, as long as it teaches the lessons quickly and helps me retain that knowledge. To see what I need to know, look at the end of this posts.

Thanks for your help,

Also, review material would be nice. Study guide for french III would be a lifesaver. In addition, what should I do to practice writing skills?

I use the Discovering French textbooks, too!

I'm sorry, but I don't know the name of any good CDs... although my teacher uses a CD (maybe tape?!) that corresponds to the textbook. You could try to find that.

As for writing, doesn't the book have exercises on like every page? Most are just short sentences to practice concepts, but some pages are like, "Write a paragraph about..." Or is this a different version by the same company? If it does have the exercises that I'm thinking of, you could practice saying those aloud, too.

Meph-- I am a HS French teacher and I can try to help you out a bit. I can PM you with some of the web sites that I give my students to help them practice outside of the classroom. Some of them have interactive exercises, some are reading, some listening. As for writing, that's a bit tricky because of feedback. But maybe there is some stuff in this list that you can use. Let me know if you would like that.
