Hi,

I am an american citizen living in France and going to french high school. I will be applying next year. My top choices are Georgetown MSB, Wharton and NYU Stern. I plan to major in Finance and I eventually want to work in New York.

Before I go through the admissions process, I'd like to know if any french or american students who went to a french high school/system got accepted to a top 50 college and would be willing to discuss how they went through the process.

I would be grateful if anyone with information regarding my question would reply to this post!

Will you be taking your SAT tests soon? We know an acquaintance, a U.S. citizen who moved to France at age 10 due to her father’s job and just graduated from high school in June. She received perfect scores on the SAT and is fluent in at least 4 languages. She decided to attend Dartmouth, but Vassar was hard to turn down.

BTW, are finances not an issue?

Clark isn’t on the same level as the schools you mentioned but does have a scholarship for kids (including Americans) who went through a foreign school system: <a href=“First-Year Scholarships for International Students | Financial Aid | Clark University”>http://www.clarku.edu/undergraduate-admissions/financial-aid/international/global-scholars-program.cfm

Thanks for the responses! I will be taking the SAT’s this year as well as 3 subject tests. Finances are a problem but I qualify for financial aid ams federal aid as I’m a citizen. Thank you for mentioning Clark. My father attended. Unfortunately I really want to work in finance and Clark isn’t heavily recruited. Is a 14.5/20 (A) average over 4 years good enough for top schools? I’m in the european section which is the best class in my grade(out of 16). Do schools understand that EC’s aren’t as available here and I’m in school from 8:30am to 5:30 pm with the most rigourous corseload.
Fore some reason it seems to me like there aren’t many french students at US colleges… :)

I ever want to change majors I will most definitely consider Clark, that was great info! Thanks!
