Freshman 15

Bleh. I'm just determined not to get the freshman 15. I'll have to watch what I eat...hopefully I'll stay in control. =P

Worry more about your body fat ratio rather than your weight.

:D I just visited the campus again as we went down camping in the San Diego area this memorial day weekend and woohoo! I found out that the gym is RIGHT next to Muir (where I'll be) and the tennis courts are even closer (I'm a tennis player)! They're literally right next to the dorms!
WOOHOO! No freshman 15 for me, except maybe I'll lose 15 lbs. ;) I hope so.

I don't know about Muir, but Revelle definately has a few beach volleyball courts right by the dorms, which are right up my alley

I think I'll lose weight too. Whereas laziness supposedly makes some people fat, it makes me thinner. I'm too lazy to go out of my way to eat a real meal, so I'll munch on snacks instead (Trader Joe's is my saving grace, by the way). Or usually I just don't eat all together if I'm too busy working on something.

Is there a Trader Joes close by? I have never actually been to one, but can see how they could become my best friend during college.

trader joes has some interesting stuff.

I hope so. Actually, let me mull that over.. because I might actually just live there and not in my room, and that wouldn't be too pretty.

It depends on how much you weigh to begin with. I was in really good shape before I left for college. At first I was really good about working out and may body ration went down, but after a while the food was just so crappy at sdsu, where I was, that I ended up gaining 15 pounds. If you are not use to walking a lot and weigh more, its possible the walking will help you lose weight. Well now its time to lose it. I agree with many of you, the people at sdsu school can be very...superficial, thus im leaving and might go to ucsd.

im goin to eat so much in college i just love food...when my cousin was in college his friend ate so much that he had a heart attack while eating a bucket of KFC
