<p>When exactly does UCI start notifying freshmen of their admission decisions? The admissions website is a little vague since it merely says that UCI will be done with notifications on March 31. Students in previous years on sites like CC have mentioned getting decisions as early as mid-February.</p>
<p>So can anyone pin down an actual date or period of the month when they start releasing decisions? Should I be expecting something any day now, or will the decisions not come out for a while? (I've gotten my UCR decision and instead of satisfying me temporarily while I wait, it's actually making me more anxious to get my other decisions already.)</p>
<p>UCI does batches of admission. I remember in my year I got UCR and then UCI soon after. I don’t remember when UCR came out but UCI came out in February (I think I got in on the 19th my year)…so it should be happening anytime soon. I don’t know if they sent any rejections that early. If you don’t get in this batch, there’s nothing to worry about since most everyone who gets in, gets in during the March admittance season…it should be a random process.</p>
<p>I have heard the notification period is between March 1 and March 31. I am hoping that maybe they will send some out before then because the suspense is killing me. I heard that they send them out in bunches… bunches on what basis? Like alphabetically by last name? :o</p>
<p>@Amber307: I’ve heard that people who get into the honors program and/or a Regents scholarship get notified earlier, but obviously I don’t know if this is actually true. Looking through 2012 CC threads, I noticed that people said they were admitted starting around 2/20 or 2/22ish. All the info is mixed and heresay…ugh…</p>
<p>Have the early admission decisions for honors and regents gone out yet? From reading past threads I believe they come out some time in early February.</p>
<p>My son heard first week of Feb in his year 2010. Acceptance were sent out in batches starting in Feb. Not sure how they will do it this year though.</p>
<p>Well today is the first Tuesday of February and I do not see anything on my account. Does anyone else see anything on their account? Perhaps I just didn’t get the honors or regents scholarship Or maybe they were not even sent out today??</p>
<p>My older sibling was admitted to UCI around Feb 15. I just received an email for Honors Program Experience. The bottom of the email does state that this does not mean admission to UCI.</p>
<p>I think nearly everyone receives the Honors Program Experience email. Plus, I believe the email is just informational–not even an invitation of any sort.</p>
<p>I got this email too and I really do believe that most do get this. Please correct me when if I’m wrong.</p>
Or maybe they were not even sent out today??</p>
