<p>Is it still possible to get accepted to Yale University (or any of the other Ivy League universities) with my first two years of high school? Here is a list of things during my freshman and sophomore years of high school:</p>

<p>Hard to say without test scores but your GPA is too low and your course load is not rigorous enough. So I would say it’s not possible, unless you are an underrepresented minority.</p>

<p>In addition to the list above, in my freshman year, I was a member of the Chess Team and the Ultimate Frisbee club. Also, in the summer between my freshman and sophomore years, I volunteered in a hospital’s messenger department. This year, I am also a member of the Chess Club, a member of the Future Business Leaders of America chapter, a host at multiple school open houses, and I also helped in the School Toy Drive. Over the summer, I intend on attending the Navy Sports Camp for swimming and go to Nicaragua for a mission trip. Also, I received a 184 on the PSAT.</p>

<p>One thing you have to remember is that your first hurdle with a school the caliber of Y is to be academically qualified. Here, your gpa, the rigor of your coursework (in relation to what is offered at your HS) and test scores are the most important factors. While your upward gpa trend is great, there will be other applicants with strong grades throughout HS. For any school you apply to, your Jr year class schedule and grades will be very important. <p>For highly selective schools, you will have to bring your testing scores up significantly for the SAT, see the 25:75 range for Y:</p>

<p>Remember, the Ivy league is a sports conference, the colleges within it vary in their selectivity, size, location, strengths, etc.</p>
