Freshman Applicants - Fall 2010

CONGRATS Heinochus! Way to go

Thanks guys  Now to hope for the honors programs (shooting for Plan II + Biomedical double major)

This is such an asinine question, but I’ve just got to ask it… when is it that you start finding out about university scholarships?

bacdgk—where did you get your info on SAT results taking 4 weeks? So you are saying the results released on this Thursday won’t get to UT for a month??? I thought it was more like 3 days-2 weeks. Did you request them to be sent when your registered for the test?

I also requested my son’s June and March ACT be sent…did that Oct. 19th…when do you think they will arrive?

Do people double major honors programs…like Plan II/Turing Scholars or Turing Scholars/BHP? Does anyone know someone in the Turing Scholars program and can give some feedback?

It only took 3 days for UT to receive my son’s previous SAT scores. SAT indicates they sent the October test scores on Oct. 27, so I expect they will be received at UT by Oct. 30th. The ACT scores only took a few days as well.

As for the question about stats for those already admitted to McCombs–he was #2 and a friend who was also admitted was #13 (out of 750+). Good luck and Hook 'em.

foolforitaly - I can’t speak to whether or not people pair those up, but I do know that Plan II is the only honors program that’s actually a major in itself.

^ So is business honors program.

If you sent your October SAT scores to UT, the scores have been received. Just checked and they’re posted. Time to submit your apps!

Good luck and Hook 'em!

quick question–if you get accepted to natural science bio (declared 1st choice on app) but decide you want lib arts psych (declared second choice on app), how do you go about handling this?

Moving back and forth between liberal arts and natural sciences is really easy. I think these are the only two schools at UT where this is not much of an issue. I think you can get this taken care of early, maybe even before your summer orientation. Email admissions after you have your acceptance to find out what you have to do to switch.

I’m so anxious to know my decision!

I was accepted today! College of Natural Sciences for Physics :)

Katatonic91, are you top 10% student?

when did you submit, katatonic?

Yes I am, but i submitted my full application 3 days ago so i thought it was crazy how fast i got a decision lol 3 days is exceptionally quick

So whos applying to the college of natural sciences in here?

Okay just reading the post by katatonic91 is making me a bit annoyed that my fee waiver isnt getting to the UT admit office a bit faster!!! I have everything in, but that fee application, geez its kind of annoying.
