freshman at harvard...ask anything you want to know

I hear that at BJU, the admissions officers are often directly involved in said incidents.

That's too bad. This is the sort of practice that will make BJU a constant second in the hearts of applicants behind Harvard.

Well I still love BJU... even without accreditation. it's such a progressive university. I mean, they've allowed interracial dating since 2000 and teach creationism in the biology department! This kind of progression is far ahead of it's time...

I think by that grace they ought to displace Harvard and place first. 'Tis a shame they cannot make that small leap.

Bob Jones was my #1 choice, until I realized I'd have to leave my contemporary Christian music behind.
Music must be compatible with the University's music standards:

* New Age, jazz, rock, and country music is not permitted.
* Contemporary Christian music is not permitted (e.g., Michael W. Smith, Stephen Curtis Chapman, WOW Worship, and so forth).

WHAT?! I can't bring my WOW Worship CDs to campus! Heavens!

A small price to pay for such a fine institution of higher education and the prospects of dating someone not of your ethnicity.

Don't forget the "pinch test" to see if you have 3 inches of give at the bust, girls!

"dating someone not of your ethnicity"
do u require the universities permission to do that???
...thats pretty messed up...

No no that's the great thing about BJU...their official policies have been changed to allow such a thing! What progress!

"the prospects of dating someone not of your ethnicity."

...that is HILARIOUS.
think of all those pretty white southern belles i'll be able to take to the dollar cinema...

Well you'll have implicit permission because you need a university-sanctioned chaperone on your dates (or any mixed gender activities).

What a fine system, and such liberal allowances on behalf of the students! Harvard could learn a thing or two from the great school that is BJU.

An interesting fact I read on Wikipedia...

"BJU announced in 1998 that it will arrest a homosexual graduate for trespassing if he visits the campus."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BJU

Such care for their student body! Wouldn't want that homosexual INFECTING the campus, would we?

BTW, don't forget the "no watching movies rated PG or higher... while you're off campus, and if the G-rated movie has pop, rock, or jazz music in it, still a no go" rule. Prevents such frivolous, demonic activities. They know how to handle their students properly. :)

I've heard of instances of this happening at schools like... Georgetown
I am not sure from where you have heard this, but I have yet to encounter a single case of racial discrimination.

At any rate, such events do happen at schools, even Harvard. There are thousands of students, and the odds are high of someone being so rude.

I abhor generalizations because they reflect a failure to accurately assess the circumstaces one is assessing.

I was actually planning to streak at BJU, but I lack transportation.

I didn't make a generalisation, but I did in fact here of an instance of this from a black female student who attended Georgetown. And the person I know who identifies as GLBT transferred to Rice because he found the environment on the whole not very accepting.

But I never said Georgetown was some breeding ground for conservatives. That is certainly is not.

Just don't do it in front of students of the opposite gender. Imagine the uproar! You'd be damned to Hell!

Another perk offered by BJU...eternal salvation! And at the price of a mere few CDs and movies...this is the institution to beat, indeed.
