@connections, any idea how many of the 30 are Americans?

I believe 6 out of the 30 are Americans but correct me if I am wrong @connections.

Yes, 6. It’s a lot this year. Don’t know if that’s chance or deliberate. And all boys! But there was at least one US girl I know of who was accepted but who declined.

1 of the 6 is a female from L.A.

Oh, I was wrong then! I thought the LA person was a guy–must’ve misunderstood my son. Thanks for the correction.

I believe Alex is her name.

mommadrama, is the previous year similar in class make up and size?

@connections yes there are 30 students, 21 male 9 female with 4 being American (3 boys, 1 girl).

Actually it’s 5 Americans, 3 boys 2 girls. Sorry!

Anyone around who can report out on Tisch and the make-up of various studios?

My D is in Adler - there are 4 classes of around 15, so 60ish kids total (give or take, not sure on exact #s) Seems a fairly even guy/girl split at least it is in D’s group- they are an even split. Not sure about other studios -sorry. I think (just from what D has said) that MT may be the largest group, but have no evidence and pretty much 0 knowledge from other studios.

^^MT (New Studio) is around the same size as Adler. There are 4 groups of 15 or 16.

D was telling me that this year they had more people MT people say “yes” than usual (seems like a bunch of schools have had that!) and had ended up with extra kids. No idea on reliability

More NYU Tisch info- ETW (Experimental Theater Wing) is the smallest studio (I think!) with 36 freshman- 2 groups of 18.

I did not add this to the list. The info for Adler and New Studio is not added either. Please feel free to add them in any format that works for NYU studios.
