FC is one of several programs mentioned on this page. Click on it. The only thing that might be different about FC this year is that there will be more housing for FC students in the fall with the opening of Prince Frederick Hall. That’s a good thing. Another good thing is that if you take the Fall 2014 courses you won’t fall behind at all. UMD just doesn’t have enough housing on-campus or classroom space for all the freshmen they admit. FC students frequently live off-campus the fall semester and take their courses usually after 3PM. Same courses, tho.

@jkeil911 thanks for your information. I am a Maryland resident, I decide to live at home so the housing is not a big problem. The only thing i care is whether i can get any credit for my college.

My sister did freshman connection a few years ago and its simply awesome. You take all regular classes but you just live in apartments right next to campus. It basically a luxury sweet (four roommates, each with their own bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen 50 in tv etc) definitely look into it

Will Freshmen Connection students be placed together in the same building?

No, we will house Freshmen Connection students throughout our residence halls like all other new freshmen coming for Fall 2014. We will allow roommate requests like we do for all students and can place Freshmen Connection students with fall admitted freshmen or returning residents if they request one another. We may place Freshmen Connection students as roommates since the academic schedules for the program make this more compatible.
