freshman course selection

hey i'm going to the 1st orientation session. therefore, i have 1st priority of picking classes. which classes are the most popular that i should take before "everyone else" does? I plan to study english and pre-medicine

basically i want to know
-most common freshman classes
-most useful classes for what i want to study
-ideal schedule for freshmen

thanks

Click on the English Major. Look at the requirements:
English 3, 4W, 10A/10B/10C

You have to take 3 before 4W.
... 4W before 10A.
... 10A before 10B.
... 10B before 10C.

Did you pass out of the Writing I Requirement? If so, go for English Comp 3. If you have, go for English 4W so you can enter your lower-division major requirements as soon as possible.

Since you're pre-medicine, you're going to need to take Math 3ABC, Chem14A(yadadada), LS1234, Physics6A... and so forth. Have you passed out of any of the AP Calculus exams? If not, start off with Math 3A (roughly equivalent to the AB exam), and throw in Chemistry 14A. So maybe something like this:

Math 3A
Chemistry 14A
English 3 or 4W
--> maybe a fiat lux <---

id recommend doing ls1 instead of chem14a, but its all up to you. hespenheide is supposedly the easiest of the ls1 professors.
